What is the perfect diet?
There are so many different diets: Paleo, Noom, Keto, Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, Mediterranean Diet, Raw Food Diet, Alkaline Diet.. the list goes on and on!
So what is the best diet? Which one will give you the results you are looking for? Well, the answer to that is – which diet is sustainable.
For as long as I can remember, the word diet has been used incorrectly. People talk about going on a diet. Diet is actually just what you’re eating.
There are so many factors that play into what foods will and will not work for you. Genetics, sex, lifestyle and more.
The diet that is going to be most effective for you, is the diet that you can stay with.
Some important things to consider when choosing your diet would be:
What are my goals? Are you trying to lose weight? Gain muscle? Perhaps it’s a combination of the two.
How many times do you eat in a day? Some people prefer to eat 1-2 meals while others like to graze small meals through-out the day.
Do you have a family or a partner? It can be tough to make two meals every time you eat, one being for your family and another for yourself.
What makes you feel full? What things do you like to eat?
Do you have any health conditions that need to be considered?
These are just a few examples that would give you more information on how to narrow down the best diet for yourself.
It needs to be sustainable, it needs to be something you can see yourself doing everyday for the rest of your life.
Diet is not something that should be done only for a short duration. Once that time ends, guess what, you will end up being back to where you started!
